Southern Sun Abu Dhabi

We decided to celebrate the birth of our new baby at the Southern Sun Hotel, and we were not disappointed. We have asked them to accommodate guests between 50 and 60 pax, and split the ladies and gentlemen into two separate venues. Honestly it was far better than what we expected, the food was extremely good, the service was exceptional, and the rooms were great. Miss Annalyne took very good care of us and made our night special for us and for our guests. Thank you very much for a perfect and unforgettable night.

i am really amazed with the hospitality, friendliness and extraordinary service of all Staff of the Hotel. From the reception, housekeeping, Amenities and in Foundry restaurant. Room was very clean and Everything in place. Highly appreciated and give tons of claps to the staff from Foundry Restaurant especially, Ate Michelle, Pradeep & Bruce and to the manger. I commend also to the extraordinary person Mr. Yazid. It was astonishing experience staying with Southern Sun Hotel. All was just perfect above all exceptions. Thanks and See you in my future check in. Hoping to get the same Service.

I didn't spend a night, but my family members stayed in a really nice room for a week. It was very spacious, very contemporary and luxurious for a regular hotel. The ambiance in the lobby was good, but I have no idea about facilities or any complaints they might have had. The spaviousness was the most relevant because they have a baby and lots of stuff to transport.

Wonderful being able to use the pool until 9pm,however Felt extremely uncomfortable after swimming in the pool and then having to walk through a BAR! to reach the changing rooms. The entire top floor where the pool, gym, changing rooms are smells of smoke due to the open BAR area. Please implement stricter security, as 'working ladies' was offering their services to male guests.

Nice and comfortable stay. Very friendly staff. It was one of my best stay cation with my family. Everything was super clean. No hassle in check in and check out. Specious rooms. Would definitely recommend to give it a try.

The friendly and organized staff really highlighted my stay here.nnOne of the staff members is Mr. Pradeep (see picture), who works at The Foundry restaurant. He always asked us what we liked to have even before we asked to order. He also remembered our orders so that when we came the next day it was already there!nnExcellent service, beautiful hotel aesthetic- recommend checking in!

It really exceeded my expectations! Room was very spacious, had a big couch and an office for a reasonable price. Food & drinks were amazing. Special thanks to Yazeed for being very helpful and accommodating.

The hotel management agree to refund us for the remaining 3 nights and we leaved the place.nItu2019s about a month passed and yet I donu2019t receive my money back even though we left the hotel and pay a lot of money to find out other hotel in a tight deadline. We trust the hotel management that they will verify it and help me with that after the inconvenience they caused to me and my friends. Really disappointed, Iu2019ll never come back this hotel again.

One of my favorite options to stay in Abu Dhabi. Friendly staff, clean and quiet rooms. Nice restaurants in case of dinning in the hotel.

Went for iftar, and the buffet was an amazing selection of all kinds of food with various foods from around the world, Indian, Arabic, Italian, Chinese. Deserts were tremendous especially the apple crumble

The best place to spend relaxing time away from all disturbce. No place like this hotel where you will find great deals and offers with help of professional staff. From organized room to laxurise atmosphere to wonderful service. You will never forget these lovely times.

My wife and I love this place. It is one of our favorite hotels. It has one of the best brunches in Abu Dhabi.

Great place to stay when in Abu Dhabi. We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was clean and the staff was incredibly helpful. Would recommend to get the very good breakfast included in your stay.

Really nice hotel, stayed for three nights and the staff is so helpful. All the time. Breakfast is totally worth it but dinner not really, it was not terrible but the flavor was lacking in every dish. A shame because everything else was really good

The best 5* experience so far. The Staff is so helpful, nice and professional! They had room prepared for us already at 7am even though we didnt pay extra for early check in. The sports bar has every game you want to watch, happy hours is a bonus :)nBreakfast is quite expensive but i had all the salmon i wanted!! :))nThe location is great, we went on foot to shopping mall, beach and so on. The cost of the taxi is so low that there's no problem traveling in all Abu Dhabi.nThan you all for making our short holidays so wonderful!

My over all experience at this hotel was good. Hotel is strategic located in the heart of Abu Dhabi, the Cornice is not too far, the Marina mall is a 15 min ride, the Cornice hospital is right behind the hotel and bunch of restaurants surrounding the hotel. The average price for a standard room is fairly competitive considering itu2019s a five-star hotel. Service was good and prompt.nnThere are where few hygiene issues that I was surprised to see. There was hair on the bed and the jet spray was fairly gross. Other than that, the place was clean. I had initially booked a standard room. The room had the hygiene issues as mentioned earlier. After complaining, the hotel upgraded me to a suit, unfortunately it had the same issue. However, there were very prompt to clean the bed sheets and the jet spray.nnJust as an FYI to the readers, these rooms are primarily meant for couples only and the reason I say that is because, everything is open, and I mean everything including standing shower and bathtub. Washrooms is just a glass wall with a glass door, similar to a standing shower, no locks and minimal privacy. The beautiful natural sound you make in the washroom can be easily heard within the room.nAs mentioned earlier, overall experience was good except for minor hygiene issues.

The Guy at the reception named Yazine is very rude, he shouldn't be sitting at the reception as he doesn't know basic customer service skill. I strongly suggest to train him.

Smaller Rooms, unavailable toiletries, broken shower and Overused uncomfortable Mattress. Smaller windows with non-functional curtains.nnThe Hotel offers pretty smaller/uncomfortable rooms and ask for further payments to get a better one.nnDespite the stars ratings they own, unlike all other 5 stars over there, they are much interested in money rather than the guest's comfort.

An amazing hotel with wide and spacious rooms. There is parking available on site. Would highly recommend it.
