W brisbane

The room, swimming pool area and breakfast were nice. The service though, is really not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. We ordered some food and drinks by the pool, waited 40 minutes for the drinks and had to cancel the food because it never came. Well that’s life and it can happen, no? I can understand. But then when we went to the spa, the receptionist didn’t explain anything to us and then was annoyed at me because I used a locker without asking for one. She said she had told my partner about it and that I should have asked for one except males and females changing rooms are separated so I wasn’t there when she told him and he didn’t think about telling me, but hey can’t blame him he’s not the spa receptionist… When I was in the jacuzzi (btw the colder one had brownish foam at some places but again I was understanding as this was the end of the day and I thought to myself maybe they didn’t have time to clean it on that day) she changed my locker’s code with my personal belongings still in there. So when I came back I couldn’t access it anymore and that’s when she told me off in a really rude way which was ridiculous for an innocent mistake. On top of all that we had booked it for a birthday so great experience. Anyway… As you’ve probably understood by now, I do not recommend this place. Thumbs up to the cleaning staff who were very nice and helpful though.

The hotel itself is located in a very central and easy to walk around area and the mezzanine and lobby level is beautiful and luxurious. All of the staff are dressed nicely and professionally and greet you in a very nice and friendly manner at check-in and check-out. The furnishings and lighting fixtures are cool, funky, hip and youthful looking and the amenities of the hotel are many, including their fabulous and beautiful bright blue pool. Room service was tasty and it was fast and efficient. The rooms themselves were beautiful and spacious and you got a cute bar area that had many mixers and sodas, as well as an adorable pineapple sculpture in the middle. The bathroom was big, spacious and modern and the bed was so big and comfortable. My favorite hotel in Brisbane!

Wow, what about The W! This place is epic, similar to QT, Art Series - without the cocky pretentiousness.nnThe team are amazing, from the bellboys to the receptionist, the everything and anything team, the restaurant team.nnService was fantastic, will definitely be back at this hotel many times in the future.nnThe wet deck, the spa area, the open spaces on level 3 to breakout.nnWe haven't even mentioned the beautiful river views and the modern rooms with bathtubs, quirky, funky and excellently decorated. Every amenity you can imagine, a mini bar with cocktail kits, recovery kits, intimacy kits. They just don't miss anything this place.nnI think I will have dreams of the breakfast buffet long in to the future. Thanks team W hotel, you should be proud to work in such an excellent establishment. Having worked in hotels across the world over the last 10 years, I will now seek out these hotels when I travel in the future.

Very comfortable room with view out to the river. Not all the electronic controls worked on the console for the room (which is the only way you can turn on the lights, open the curtains etc). Stylishly decorated though the black tones throughout are a bit overwhelming sometimes. Great customer service. Convenient central location.

We stayed 2 nights at the W in Brisbane and were very disappointed to say the least.nThe Good - The room was beautifully designed and the bed was comfy but I have definitely stayed at some nicer places.nThe Bad - They charge you top dollar for a room then hit you with a $75 parking fee! I opted for valet parking for $60 and my car came back with a thick layer of dust on it then to top it off they marked the rear bumper with the suitcases.nThey investigated it but of course denied the damage.nWe also had a bottle of expensive cologne go missing from our room, cleaners or maintenance?nAgain they couldnu2019t explain it?nRoom was cold and the A/C would not go over 24 degrees. They did deliver a heater on the second night and it worked well.nMini bar was incredibly over priced also.nThey over charged us on the bill and I had to make phone call after phone call to sort it out, I finally did get a manager on the phone who sorted it out promptly.nI wouldnu2019t stay there again.

The spaces thought the hotel and rooms were immaculate. There is a fully equipped gym, a stunning pool, on-site restaurant, bar and shops. Id honestly buy a room here if they were available, the sheer joy such a great space can bring when you return after a busy day breathes a sigh of relief. We will definitely stay next time we’re in town and will refer all our friends as well. Beautiful hotel which is immaculate. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with good amenities. The service was impeccable. The gym is one of the best Iu2019ve seen in a hotel for a while with state of the art Technogym equipment. Restaurant is pretty good too. Also well located. I came here on business but will definitely return for leisure.

Facilities are nice, rooms are great, but staff are lacklustre.
