Melia Desert Palm Dubai

The wait for the breakfast was terrible. The location is far from everything and the hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. I love Melia hotels but this one was a disappointment for me.

More location in here. If you can receive the buggy 1st (little bit busy) and you can go ahead lovely location. I'm got pre-wedding shoot few more days ago.

Sent three emails to try to get in touch with the events team, called the front desk and asked for direct contact numbers, contacted the events team with a promise of a call back. More than a week later, still no response. Extremely disappointed as it is really a venue that I was considering for a large private event I am looking to host.

If Melià Desert Palm can add changing pads in their restrooms at the meeting hall. It will be very family friendly and helpful for parents with young children. The Koala brand is compact and beautiful.

Its very luxurious and so comfort for staying in private zone. Bit far from city and transportations but worthy if u r peace loving and enjoy with family once back from trip😊

An amazing experience , the room was perfect for relaxing and have me time. Great to be aways from the noises for few days m. It was very romantic for my husband’s bday. Everything was clean , fresh and great atmosphere. I really recommend it

this place is quiet and calming and it's great place to relax n not hve to worry about much plus it's just so smart and beautiful

A very quite place for some quality time, with some bedrooms witha private pool.nBest in winter, since you wont enjoy a polo match except in summer

I think the hotel management will be surprised with my 4/5 rating!nnI wanted to love this hotel but was left with incredibly mixed feelings.nnIt is in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Dubai set on polo fields. A real oasis and retreat! The rooms are spacious and well decorated, albeit looking tired in places and in need of a refurbishment soon enough. The prices are reasonable all things considered.nnHowever, the service I received at the start of my stay was memorably and exceptionally poor. Without fail requests were ignored (to fix the tv speakers, twice for toiletries at the bath, for laundry, for housekeeping earlier when they would only make it in the evening a few minutes before turndown, for a bill with a drink at the pool so I wouldn’t have to wait for service to come again). I therefore didn’t even ask for coffee pods when they weren’t replenished or for someone to fix the dripping tap. At these points I always reminded and mentioned where I had previously asked but staff were entirely unapologetic and noted/reported nothing for management. Additionally the flies at the pool were bothersome. I understand it may be difficult given the proximity to the stables, but I t is not clear if anything is being done about this (diffusing citronella for example). Drinks service at the pool was also very bad. Nobody would come for hours and other customers were visible annoyed about this also (hence why I would ask for the bill with my drink). finally, housekeeping put damp sheets on my bed one day and soaking wet pillow cases on another day. This is not even a comprehensive list of the issues. In short, they utterly failed at the absolute basics.nnMy overall positive rating is for two reasons:n1) When I spoke to the manager things visibly changed! Housekeeping finally came at least a little earlier, the pool finally got a regular drinks service, requests for the bill with my drink were not ignored. The food and beverage manager also came to speak to me about it and they were professional and kind. I would recommend the management keep on top of proactive observation, but I was encouraged at the transformation.n2) The food in Rare was excellent. Terrific quality but mostly it was simply perfect execution and completely consistently so!nnLastly, I should mention for MeliáRewards Platinum members that there was no real recognition of that.nnSo elements make this simultaneously both one of the worst and one of the best hotel stays for me. I have given 4/5 as I was encouraged by improvements at the end of my stay, but I am not sure I would risk returning myself.

Very clean and well organized. The privacy, facilities, view, and staff were excellent. The palm suite is what we picked for our trip and I highly recommend it. The resort is close to the global village and the dragon mart too.

Quiet, chilled and relaxing. Amazing rooms, villa available too with private pools. Gym and fitness suite well kitted out and spacious. Pool a great size. A great retreat. Would recommend.

I come here regularly for its pool and gym, staff is amazing, vibe is amazing, food is spectacular but man these flies are unbearable, please find a solution to clear those flies around the pool. Other than that it deserves 5 star.

Nice place with good ambience. Best place to relax on weekend after long tiring week. But its highly understaffed so be prepared for long waiting periods between orders. But always the staff is friendly and trying their best to cope up so we don't mind a bit of delay. This place always gets us relaxed and we leave in good mood!!

Absolutely amazing stay for my wife's birthday. Pet friendly as well so our dog was also able to join. The one bedroom villa with private heated pool was perfect. Food and service was fantastic. Highly recommended!

Stayed at the 2 bedroom villa and it was very well furnished and had good privacy. The pool was a very good size for a hotel villa. However, late at night youu2019d see drunk people walking around and being loud.

Not really a 5 star hotel! We are Melia members and stayed with several hotels already. This one was smudgy, dirty, dusty. We had a 2 bedroom villa with a pool. You have to call for daily cleaning and they are using 1 cleaning cloth. There was lip print on the bath edge and a lot of stains on the table. It was there the whole weeku2026 they broke a wineglass and they did not clean the glass splinters from the sink. Itu2019s also very noisy- there is a highway next to the grounds. We paid 24.000 aed for this stay.( 6 days)nOnly 2 restaurants and quality is not that great. Itu2019s more fast food/ brasserie level.nItu2019s also too far away from the tourist spots, so you have to take a taxi for 20/30 min to the city/beach. I would not recommend this hotel, even though they have villau2019s with a private pool.nFood and drinks are also not cheap- but I guess thatu2019s all around Dubai.nPositive: privacy- nobody can look into the villa or the pool.nStaff is very nice and friendly and trying to help.

Lovely place, good food but they won't help with the lost and found items.nWe called them to find our item which we know exactly where it was, but they didn't even try to help.nReception staff is very careless.nRestaurant staff is amazing

Perfect hotel to unwind! Fantastic villas! Outstanding service level! Located away from the hustle and bustle of the city to provide excellent experience and relaxation. To me, based on my experience, this is definitely the best MELIA hotel I have ever been to globally! I will come back soon!

I visited the Argentinian Restaurant called Rare . What a rare find indeed !!!nWe were greeted by Basel who was courteous , funny and was a great host to us .nThe evening had started off in a disappointing way as we were turned away by another restaurant and we just happened to find this restaurant. The intimate atmosphere of the restaurant had saved the night.nIf you are a meat lover or just love scrumptious food, I would highly recommend this place for a night out or any special occasion (birthday , date night etc) .nI will be visiting the restaurant again and highly recommend this place .

Excellent Christmas Day brunch. Courteous staff for whom nothing is too much trouble.
