Expo 2020 has been a grand success so far and we’ve had plenty of chances to go and discover some of the coolest things to do and places to be at this giant event. Bring comfy shoes because you will be walking a lot or maybe look into getting a Careem Bike to pedal your way around the site. No matter what, make sure to collect your Expo Passport and get all the stamps in for an amazing reminder of this crazy adventure.

The reality is, only 1 day at this once-in-a-lifetime event won’t be enough time, even doing the whole thing over 2 days is a stretch. The ROVE Expo 2020 Hotel was built to address this issue, allowing visitors to skip the commute back home and just stay at the heart of Expo. ROVE offers the perfect place for a good night’s sleep after a day at the event or just a nice resting spot to recharge after a few hours walking. A great option for those wanting to make the most out of their time at the world’s greatest show.

There are many great places to grab a bite at the Expo site, but Scarpetta Mercato really deserves a special mention! An Italian restaurant and “Burrata Bar” where pasta is made fresh in-house daily and cooked alongside locally sourced ingredients to create international delicacies. You will surely love the simplicity of the dishes and the boldness of the flavors here. Make sure to grab an authentic Gelato for dessert and enjoy the ice-cream while walking the streets of Expo.

Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion is the reason this whole event is happening in the first place! With an amazing journey to either the Roots of a Forest or the Depths of an Ocean, this is probably a pavilion that requires at least 2 visits. Learn more about sustainable architecture, the impact of our society on the planet and what we can do to address climate change and preserve nature. Children and families will have a great time here.

Just a short walk away, and keeping in line with the sustainability theme, The Netherlands Pavilion is definitely worth queuing up for. The main showcase is an innovative plan for sustainable agriculture, where mushrooms and plants are grown on a cone-shaped vertical farm. Make sure to head inside the cone to embrace an amazing show which we don’t want to spoil, all we can say is that visiting this pavilion will be one of the highlights of your Expo experience.

If you are looking for an out-of-this-world dining experience, then make sure to head on over to Jubilee, the gem of luxury eating at of Expo 2020 with Guest Chefs flying in to be hosted at this exclusive venue. You will be able to experience incredible Course Menu options with optional wine pairings every day. If you want something even more special then make a reservation for the Chef’s table event every Tuesday night, a unique event where Michelin Star Chefs from all over the world will prepare incredible four or nine course menus in an intimate environment.

So that’s it! 5 Things you should definitely check out when you come to Expo!

P.S. The Fastest and easiest way to get here is using the Metro system so leave your car at home!
