Easily accessible and very well kept old structure. A delight to photograph at sunset. @joblogstravel Australian
One of the oldest and most important forts in the emirate. It is located on a raised hilltop overlooking the city with the view of the ocean beyond. A good view available 360 degrees from the elevation. The Fort is supposed to have been erected in the early 16th century and then rebuilt in the late 17th century. It has gun turrets all around the Fort with vantage points to counter any attack from any direction. Has been well restored with some modern eminities such as electricity. There is a guide book available at the entrance along with an area map and tourist info leaflets. Entrance is free. The local caretaker cum guide is helpful and takes you around. The Museum is also within the complex compound and can be visited.
This is a very well-kept fort that provides a great view. It is unattended at this time and you can walk about the fort with no problem. It looks like they are rebuilding part of the old city and structures out the side of the fort. There are no memorabilia to see no or any displays at this time. There is a very ean washroom.
Nice place to visit, bit deserted still touch of history. 👍
Beautiful place, have a visit with friends and Family and get a good walk and pretty clicks :-)
Nice place depicting the old life in the area. However we couldn't find the visiting timings at the main entrance. Mentioning the Visiting timings will be helpful.
Traditional buildings and fort. Nice place to visit. Have a long walkway. Well maintained.
Well maintained fort, with a small heritage village around it. Very easy to access. Definitely worth a visit, if you are around and are interested in history.
A cute fort. Nice to visit if you pass by. Hardly worth of a special journey
Loved this place. Visited on Monday, so only we two and one guide was there. Beautiful fort with great history. Loved the place!
The fort area is well organized and maintained. It was nice to see a place from the UAE history. You can walk around the fort to see other parts as well.

Small stony fort, but it's great to recognize that the construction which was built as the first in the country!! Looking inside you find yourself in the past of 17 century.
They still working in the area to enhance the experience, but overall its a nice place to visit and see the history of the country
Tourist attractions , neat and clean place , fort is the main attraction , evening vibe is superb. Its feels a small hiking to reach the top of the fort. The inside view gives an ancient feel of the Arabian culture. Feel the breeze is a nice feeling at the place. Beautiful place for hangout for family. A lot of parking space is available at the down area of the fort valley. Better to keep a bottle of water when you start go the top of the fort.
Good place for relax and exercise.nI went there last year and now still same.nIf you go early morning to see sunrise or earky evening to see sunset, perfect for taking pictures
The Fujairah Castle is a round fortress and is one of the most important and best renovated of its kind in the Emirates. The construction method is unique in the country. The castle consists of 3 round and one square tower as well as a tower-like unit, all of which are connected to one another by a partition. The materials that were used are predominantly stone, as well as crushed stone, hay, clay and plaster. A radiocarbon analysis showed a construction period between 1500 and 1550. During the last renovation, which took place between 1998 and 2000, the same materials were used as originally. In my opinion the fortress is worth a visit but my husband suspects that it might be a tourist attraction. By the time you've been up and down all the stairs, you may have sore muscles the next day. I had.
Good place to visit.
