History is well maintained and protected. It's always great to walk through the past trails. The traditional buildings and architecture is so beautifully kept. It's a must visit place in Dubai. I would prefer to visit here in night time next time.

One of the peaceful place at the heart of Dubai. Amazing place and best place to visit for new visitors. Gives a great sense of respect and understanding of culture and heritage of Dubai. I've been twice and will go again. You can visit the museums inside, and have coffee while looking at this lovely facade.

Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood is a historic district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The construction of Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood dates back to the 1890s. In its prime, the locality was capable of 60 housing units, most of which were separated by narrow, winding lanes.nthis district is a key heritage site with much of the original infrastructure preserved and intact.nThe traditional wind towers u2013 constructed from stone, teak, gypsum, palm wood and sandalwood u2013 represent only a small part of Al Fahidiu2019s history. Each alley, twisting pathway and breezy tower tells a story of a life before the seven emirates.

A historical part of Dubai situated next to The Creek, old buildings with possibility to enter and explore, some stylish hotels, just a place to make the past of Dubai more tangible for tourists. Live camels, desert tents, genuine food and drinks, all part of a tour you can easily order online, with nice guide with perfect English or German who will give some insight into ordinary life in Dubai a d a bits of historical information. I was pleased with the experience.

Very good neighborhood, the old style, free and easy to access. You can get from souvenirs to regular supplies. People very friendly. You will see a lot of vendors, just pay attention they are doing their job so you might get a little bit upset, but remember that they live on sales, so with a thank you they understand. :) Have fun!!!

If you can manage to tear yourself away from the glittering shopping malls and luxury resorts, visit this area to see what life was like before their cash machines started pumping oil.nnEvening stroll all along the creek is very pleasant or take the water taxi, wooden Abra or river cruise. As long as you're on this side of the creek, you're fine because it's the creek that divides new and old Dubai and the other side of the creek doesn't really have anything to offer to rich tourists who don't wanna get their expensive shoes dirty.
