Not the easiest to find from Google Maps but it's located on the first floor of Amsterdam Centraal Station itself. Decadent looking and has the added feature of Elvis the Cockatoo who presides over the bar. Food is typical Viennese type cuisine. Had Smoked Salmon Salad which was nice and fresh followed by Spare Ribs which were plentiful and tasty. The menu is quite pricey and we went because we had a discount from a third party website. Probably not worth it at full price being honest but an interesting experience.
Ambiance is super nice. Food was tasty. There is a parrot on bar which is super friendly. Service was slow as there were 3 people handling all guests. Even small dish is good enough for one person as you get salad bowl and fries with it. Fries were good so the chicken satay, burger and pasta small dish.
I'm glad i visited this place.nThe restaurant is amazing and our food was great.nSome work needs to be addressed with the service, our waiter that served us the drinks was holding the drink glass from the top, not very hygienic. (we couldn't drink them)nAnything else was really good.
A very lovely and authentic atmosphere with a beautiful view on city centre Amsterdam. Good for both lunch for one as well as a party of a hundred.
Went on recommendation. The place is beautifully presented although the food left a lot to be desired. My fish was overcooked and dry. Access to the restaurant is bizarrely through the station's e- gates. Service appeared to be indifferent. A one off experience.
Macaron with red fruit ice...... Red ?? Fruit ?? The chocolate cake was old and not 1st class at all. Cafe frape with baileys was good. Staff friendly.
The place is truly from another time. The service was great. We booked through the Fork. A true hidden gem. It's easier than expected to find it.
The restaurant is very impressive looking from both outside and inside. But that is the only high light of the entire establishment. The food was very lack luster. Chicken breast was tasteless and overcooked. They poured some sauce on it that tasted like Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup. Not even that was able to rescue the tough overcooked rubbery meat. My experience may be isolated, but that was the only experience I could write about. There are many other really good eateries in this area, so you have plenty of choices.
Unexpected surprise within the Centraal Station, great to take a relaxing break in such a beautiful historic settingg. Service was up and down, but they get large groups in here which is tough to balance. Bitterballen were delicious, seafood soup was a bit too salty. Odd recommendation, but the Delft blue toilets in the women's washroom are not to be missed!!
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend. This restaurant is something of a hidden gem set in the former 1st class waiting area on the first floor of the station. Best to book in advance online. We had salmon and beef in a goulash sauce. Both were excellent. Good choice of desserts too. Friendly, multilingual service and even a cockatoo!
Great place for proper dinning at Amsterdam station. Restaurant provides also private dinning room to host team, family dinner and comes up with great interiors, old paintings , potteries etc
If you don't know it's there this place is a surprise and well worth a visit even if you don't need a train. Flemish beef stew good, prices ok, decor spectacular. Open 10:00 to 22:00.
Yu2019knowu2026the room is beautiful and the food is actually lovely but the service is baffling. They are not short staffed. The 6-7 staff people stand at the bar & chat while patrons desperately try to flag them down (trains to catch !) . A lovely atmosphere but more attentive wait staff would put this spot over the top!

We have had a 4 course meal for duration of 3 hours - we had to wait more than an hour per course. The food was excellent. However, the service was really bad, no smile and also one waitress was rude saying that we cannot order with her as she doesnu2019t have a machine and look for someone else by ourselves.
The best 6 EUR sandwich I've ever eaten. The lighting was great. Also there's a parrot.
Very nice aristocratic interior and delicious main courses and desserts. Also cool view on trains or on the city improves the impression. Very good
I think this is restaurant is such a gem. It's hidden in plain site at central station. It's a very big restaurant but with such character with the traditional decor. We saw so many cute older couples having lunch here. And rhe price is very reasonable for Amsterdam.
Perfect spot for meetups at Central Station. In a classy old style ambiance.
We were waiting for the waiters too long, on each order.nToilets were not clean.nThe food and the decoration was good.
3-course meal was really good, nice portions and tasty meat + free prosecco glass
