I spent about 3 weeks in Amsterdam right on Tweede Van Swindenstraat and De Eeuwige Jeugd was a good spot to relax and have a drink, I went a few times.nnThe atmosphere during the day is pretty relaxed, not super full and a good place if you want to check out a local footballing experience at a bar. The beer is from a brewery of the same name and it's very good. At night it feels more like a real bar, with music and lights.nnFood wasn't anything special as it's not their focus but still good enough to accompany the beer. The burger itself was just ok, but the bitterballen were great, including the vegetarian ones for those who like that option.nnDefinitely stop by the bathroom as the ambience with the globes is something unexpected but pretty cool.
We had so much fun here!nLocal brewed beer and awesome fries!nnThe fries was amazing and everything we needed after a long day of walking!nOur waitress was so cool. We joked a lot with her, and after encouraging her to giving a speech after successfully lighting a candle (she had trouble) we made her a napkin flower and a tip!nNone of us were drunk only happy and joking 😉❤️nWorth a visit!

Busy, vibrant, fun, friendly and good staff, great terrace, good bar food like burgers, pizza and loaded fries. Their own beers great, and good drinks all around. Not much more i could ask for.
It's really a find. A pretty big space with separate sections and a big bar with a lot of beer options. Of course they have their own beer and few other guests as well. The hosts are really friendly and have knowledge on what they are serving. There are also food options and it is good. They also have a few board games and cards, so a nice place to hangout with friends and chill.
Service is fast and friendly.nnBeer selection is better than regular bars but not in any way exceptional or even very special to be frank. When asking about the beers, answer was “we have regular beers, just look at the list”. Would not be an issue, but they are saying they are a craft beer place?nnFood ok not great but served very quickly.

This is the official bar of a local Amsterdam brewery. The beers here are amazing, I'd definitely recommend to try them. Also, the location is something special. Furthermore they offer some burgers and side dishes.
They say the Dutch service is the worst. Well, they say that sometimes you feel that they cannot care less and they could almost spit on your face. After visiting De Eeuwige Jeugd, I believe that. That was one of the places in the neighbourhood that you used to like to go. It was, unfortunately. Waiters, picking up on the fact that we do not speak Dutch, thought that it is okay to speak about us behind our back (literally standing behind us) about the rearrangement of the seating. You could be wrong... If we do not speak Dutch between each other it does not mean that one of us is not capable of understanding the language. The guy came to us and said that we have to move and there is no choice or option, and that is because they have decided that and that is it - we have to follow. That was rude! No sense of respect, don't mention hospitality. Mind that the customer is there to enjoy the drink/snack/dinner, and at least he/she should be treated with respect.
Normally a nice place but today's service was redicoulus. We set down on one of the couches and were enjoying our food and drinks when we were suddenly summoned to get up a move out of the way due to some rearrangement of the bar. Not announced and with a pretty unfriendly staff telling us that is was an order by the boss to change the setting of the bar They even seemed surprised about our surprised and irritated reaction. Apperently it is the norm to treat a customer this way at this place.
It was a couple of years ago that my wife and I were looking for a quick bite while visiting Amsterdam. We were there on off hours so there were few patrons. The service was friendly and prompt, and the food was fresh, tasty, and well presented. We would be happy to eat there again, hopefully soon!
Slightly odd place - nice beers on tap from it's micro brewery, but the constant disco lights are a bit strange, even if it was Saturday night.nBig space, with loads of places to sit, and an outside space out the front with plenty of tables.nI would come here for the beer, but not for the atmosphere!
Tasty beer, cute interior and heated terrace. Good number of vegetarian options and above average nachos! They even have a shuffleboard table. Would be great if they had a clearer cocktail/liquor list, and sometimes the table service is a little slow. But overall a fun spot in the neighborhood.
The staff is friendly and attentive, we didn't need to fight to get their attention, the vibe is really nice.nThe food was really good and so was my drink. They have their own beer, a must try! Just added this place to my list of regulars ;)
Nice beers and surprisingly good selection of food. Would definitely recommend !
Well-located bar on the edge of the hipster Oosterpark, nicely situated on the corner.nThe bar is named after the brand of beers they sell, which have odd names (see the photo of the menu), such as Gleuvenglijder (which I won't translate for now), but taste really good.nSurprisingly for a bar, the food is good. We had a lovely pizza, but the burgers look good too.nThe only downside to the Eeuwige Jeugd are the wooden benches on the side of the terrace, which are quite hard in your back (and lower back ud83dude03). So, sit at a table...
The beer and food are great. The location and the interior are freaky and super cozy. I had a great time there
Really beautiful decor inside! The walls are gorgeously decorated with flower decals. Can get very crowded. Good selection of beers
