A gem along the canalnWe finally made it to this restaurant after cancelling our New Year’s Eve dinner due to a family emergency. Their manager simply refunded our deposit without question, so we vow to visit the next chance we got, which was tonight. We were glad we did! The service by Christa, Sophia and the manager Josephine was outstanding, they were friendly, attentive and professional! The food was creative and tasty; the Leek Confit was a stand out and the Sea Bass main was excellent as well! The place was packed but not noisy and the huge artwork on the walls made for a sophisticated ambience! It’s not cheap, but Definitely worth it!
Nice quiet restaurant with good quality food. We went for oysters but unfortunately they were sold out, so settled for snails instead and they were delicious! Lobster risotto was slightly too salty(can do with less parmigiano) but overall pleasant. Partridge was nice as well. The service we received during the meal was really good, but I couldn’t say the same for when we first entered the restaurant.I suppose it’s not the costumers’ fault if their reservation didn’t show up on the record…
Excellent service and high quality food. Restaurant has a nice ambience and the location is good. Would definitely return.
Superb food with an amazing service and a true eye for detail. What a divine experience! The duck was extremely well cooked and they have a truly surprising wine selection. The view and the desserts are memorable as well.
The service was absolutely amazing and they make you feel as royalty. It is a luxury looking place with affordable prices and very nice food and service. I found the food portions not filling, but I guess I eat a lot
Very classy and civilized. The lounge is a library w 1st editions signed by author during their stay! Impressive! Inside Ambassador hotel.
Since I didn't have a reservation I ended up trying the Brasserie Ambassade at the hotel bar. I ordered duck confit per the bartender's recommendation and it definitely was a delicious experience. Everything about this dish was perfect, I would recommend it. For drinks I got Manhattan which was very balanced, strong and just perfect.
I had booked their breakfast for my husbandu2019s birthday. It was absolutely lovely, the staff was super friendly and helpful and excellent at making my husband feel special on this day. Food was great and they even serve cava for their breakfast ud83cudf7e
Very nice and elegant place to eat in Amsterdam. The food was delicious and wonderful from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. The chandelier was wow. My only regret is that they have no chicken meals and I eat only chicken. But other than that 5 STAR restaurant. Had a terrific lunch and the desert was wow wow wow tasty
Nice atmosphere right on the Amsterdam canals, had a 3 course meal served, with octopus with tomatoes chutney and pickled radishes, lamb chops au Jus with purée, and a mandarine ice cream on a bed of rhubarb.nnService was fast and friendly, reccomendations and cocktails were great and well paired.
Great restaurant. The entrance was pretty and enchanting. Wonderful view outside the window, and great atmosphere inside. I had 2 course for lunch, including tuna and deer steak, delicate cuisine with well thought-out flavour eliciting maximum potential of the ingredients. I loved the bread and the butter as well. Customer service was amazing. I casually went with a friend but I would love to visit again for a special occasion.
Great food, great staff. Very cozy place.
Absolutely amazing place!!! We accidentally decided to check it out, as we were staying at the hotel. What a pleasant surprise and experience. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. HIGHLY recommended!
This was the first restaurant we went to and it was excellent. The presentation of the food was a small art masterpiece and so was the taste. Meat and fish were prepared to perfection and the different garnishments complemented ideally. If you are looking for a high class bit not too expensive restaurant this might be the place.
An amazing culinary experience in the heart of Amsterdam. Fine dining done right. Excellent service and fabulous food. You can have 3 course menu or go a la carte. Unique dishes that are very well done
Had a great time there, with a friendly service and nice location. The dessert was not nice though, I regretted to ordered it. Tasted a bit old and something so tough that I didn't want to eat that. I also encountered a small piece of plastic in the middle. My previous time was much better experience than today's. Pity.
I went with my family to have lunch. Beautiful place, well decorated. Staff very friendly and efficient. The starter was very well prepared, good wine but unfortunately the dessert was much less than expected. Bad textures, wrong tastes, and the worst, the plate came with the taste of detergent. Terrible mistakes! Please review it!
The restaurant was quite busy late on Friday evening so we couldn't get a table inside the restaurant. They accommodated us so we could eat dinner in the library salon downstairs which had a nice ambiance to it. We ordered Cod fish, duck for main course each. Main courses were amazing. They messed up our dessert order and we had to remind them when it didn't arrive after about an hour. Desserts weren't anything exciting and you can skip that.
