The Red Tree House

Absolutely delightful stay. Rooms vary in size but even the small room we stayed in was very comfortable. Hot and cold breakfast every day. Happy hour every day 6-8. Staff very helpful. Great walking neighborhood. Two major parks nearby - Mexico and Espana.

Very comfortable rooms and the staff are simply wonderful. It's a very social atmosphere with mostly American and Canadian guests. Very good breakfast and complimentary happy hour from 6 to 8. The location is fantastic with many very good restaurants within easy walking distance. We stay here every time we visit Mexico city.

My son and I were in Mexico City for two days and decided to stay here. It was a great experience. The customer service was excellent, accommodations exquisite, happy hour was a fun time to meet other travelers and the breakfast was tasty. I highly recommend this place for any of your future lodging needs.

We booked a stay for next April while we were still staying here last week. That is how wonderful this place is! The staff is friendly, helpful, easy to talk to. The rooms are comfortable, with attention to detail at the highest level. The breakfasts are pretty and delicious. The location is safe, quiet, and easy to walk to great restaurants. All of the staff seem to love their work, and it shows. Can't wait to return in 6 months!

Amazing, wonderful, amazing! This is one of the best places we have stayed abroad and domestically. The layout of the hotel was so unique from the grounds with the beautiful greenery to each guest seating space. They offer homemade breakfast and happy hour which is an awesome time meet new people. We can't say enough about the kind staff, thank you to Herman and Victor for your hospitality and making the Red Tree House an incredible to stay. We will definitely be coming back here in the future! We can't wait to return!

I have just returned from the most incredible trip to Mexico City, one of the highlights is without a doubt my stay at The Red Tree House.nnEverything good you read about this hotel is true and more! From the moment I arrived to the day I left, I felt at home thanks to the exceptionally welcoming staff, and the beauty & comfort of the hotel space.  I was fortunate to stay in the Penthouse whilst some of the party I was travelling with stayed in the apartments next door; both offering unique vibes with good attention to detail (from the amenities, the layout, and the artwork). It is very quiet & peaceful at night, and the beds are very comfortable.nnThe home cooked breakfasts were simply delicious and always served with a smile by Victor who truly is a ray of sunshine, vivacious, kind and authentic. The staff really are one of the hotel's assets; friendly, helpful, and gave me an insight into Mexican people & their culture. It was lovely to meet Alejandro who I think we met almost daily over breakfast, he's got a great sense of humour and is a real connector across people and values.nnOn the practical side, the location could not be better, it's close to so many cafes, restaurants, and suitably located for Uber pick ups & drop offs, with the Amsterdam circuit a stone's throw away, which is popular for dog walking, promenades & running.nAll the email communication I had with The Red Tree House prior to my arrival was always answered within 12-24 hours, they even recommended a tour company who we used during our stay. I can see why this place gets booked up so far in advance. I look forward to staying here again.

Absolute five stars! The hotel is a four star hotel with breakfast only, and the hotel is absolutely fulfilling this. What makes the hotel special is the great and friendly staff. You feel welcome from the minute you arrive. The idea is also to meet other travelers here if you like and join the Happy Hour at Night. We had a two bedroom apartment in the building next door which was great. We loved our stay!

This is a little slice of paradise in the big city. Lush vegetation in the central courtyard, very tastefully appointed, and marvelous staff. My experience was the best Iu2019ve had at a B&B. Highly recommendedu2026 just donu2019t book when I need a room!

I stayed here with my family, 7 persons in January and we all were very satisfied. This is a hotel that really shows you are welcome - warm and nice people, nice atmosphere and drinks on the house each evening to socialize. The rooms are clean and well equipped as well. Good standard. We got the information about this hotel from a Swedish acquaintance and will be happy to forward it to other friends. Would like to come back some day and further explore this fabulous capital of Mexico.

This hotel provides a perfect and authentic experience! The staff are so friendly and accommodating! They provide excellent recommendations and will help arrange tours, restaurant reservations etc. The rooms are tasteful and clean. The breakfast and happy hour in the garden with other guests are very special and very fun to meet travellers in this setting. Location is also great!
