The most delicious, authentic local food. This restaurant has been around for a long time and is amazing. It is hidden but well worth going into and eating. Service and food is amazing! We have a friend who is a local that took us to this restaurant. Go here. You will not be disappointed. It is a must if you are in the area!
Went here as per recommendation of a local colleague for my birthday. We were seated in the garden area, which is very cute in the evening with the string lights and Mayan decor. A very romantic place for dinner. Just to note: bring mosquito spray if sitting outside!nnStaff was professional and very courteous, and always attentive to our needs (group of 7 on a peak day). Food was very delicious, I had the Cocobichuela - which is a lobster dish in a carved our coconut. Very special dish and highly recommend!nnDefinitely will try to make another visit next time I am in Cancun.
One of the first established restaurant in Cancun downtown.nSuper authentic and beautifully decorated.nWe made booking via WhatsApp. Took a couple of second and it was all organized and confirmed.nLocation is easy to find just minutes away from ADO Cancun.nMenu can be downloaded online, but available in printed format at the restaurant.nStarters are delicious and generous portion.nMains are well selected, mainly seafood, but plenty choice to meat eaters too.nThere's a separate section for authentic Mexican cuisine. Worth to try the mole!nDesserts are simple but delicious.nThere's a magician in the staff who can entertain when he's available. Really talented gentleman, tricks are tasteful and enjoyable.nSome tip afterwards recommended.nIn summary, lovely restaurant in the center with air-conditioned inside or open air outside sitting.nPriced reasonably.nAll staff speaking English perfectly.
Found this place on review sites as one of the longest standing restaurants. Good margaritas, very big portions for starters and good quality food, traditional French. Nice cozy and intimate setting.nnThe only comment is that the English menu we had appears to have been missing some items that other table was eating - the pepper stuffed with sausage meat dish which we saw on review sites that we may have wanted to try. Perhaps it is worth to ensure all items are on the menu.
Great service - the gentlemen here are kind, attentive to detail, and know their menu well! The food here was delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was classy, vintage, and quality. Enjoyable for a date night or lunch with the family. We enjoyed the soft shell crab starters which was made into fresh crab tacos - delicious! Then we shared the coconut shrimp (so good and meaty!) and the stuffed calamari which had a nice flavor as well. Only thing I would say is that the menu does not give a good description of what the food entails so I had to ask a lot of questions. But luckily they knew their menu well. Some descriptions or food pictures would have gone good on the menu. You canu2019t go wrong with eating here they have a wide variety of well-prepared food.
We decide to explore the city for a few days before checking into the resort & found this gem. The atmosphere, service and food was amazing. The staff is wonderful and treats you like you're the only guest in the restaurant, from the time you arrive until the time you leave. My sister and I love it so much we went back the very next night. Make sure you try the outdoor patio if it's open. It's beautiful & perfect for date night. Special thanx to Muse & Kevin. Muse was a very big part in our decision to go back the next night as his service was AMAZING!! We will definitely re-visit next time we come to Cancun (and this trip 2 if we leave the resort again)!!
Heard many good things about it and wanted to give it a try.nService was ok. I ordered a Mexican traditional appetizer (based in the server said), and the chef’s recommendation of the day. Overall is ok but have to say it was disappointed. The appetizer was melted cheese on crepes; the fish, flavor was interesting, but it was burned on one side. And I thought it was the Mexican way of this dish. The waiter was surprised and told me he was going to ask the chef but no answer after. Maybe it was the wrong dish I ordered but not as good as thought it would be.
We went to the restaurant since it was close to our hotel and it had been praised in many different blogs and the Google-reviews were also really good. This was the last dinner during our three weeks trip across the Yucatan and for us the dinner was quite a disappoinment. Food wasn't bad but it was nothing special and we felt like it was meant for western tourists and it was missing the typical Mexican flavours. For that price you will find better place, but the service was nice and we felt comfortable. So if you are looking for real Mexican flavours don't make same mistake that us and choose some place different.
Great food! Super great ambiance with natural flowers and nice furniture. It's even very romantic! The wait staff is also super nice, they even remembered one of my friends i was dining with who hadn't been there in years! The food is also quite yummy and very fast service. They also have giant menus that make it easy to see. Nothing bad to report honestly, only been there once though.
What a beautiful place and amazing service! From the host to all of our waiters, everyone was so kind. The food tasted amazing, we got the Amaranth fish, guacamole, Mexican crepes, and passion fruit mouse and coconut parfait. They all tasted fresh and amazing! Parking was a bit hard, we had to park close to the parking area in Las Palapas.
If you are looking for traditional Mexican food don’t let the name fool you. It’s more an Italian restaurant with a Spanish flare.nIt looks like an old, authentic Italian restaurant (old). Outside it looks like a Spanish villa with some ancient statues and murals, it definitely needs some TLC. It’s a review so we give our opinion based on others experiences. The food is good but not great. The portions are just enough for you to eat and leave still feeling hungry even though you had appetizer, main and dessert. Chocolate cake a 3, Passion fruit mousse/tart 3, coconut cream good 4.nService its a 5, excellent!!!!!!! They are very attentive, amicable, knowledgeable.nDon’t think that you are in Mexico and food it’s cheap. You pay as much you would pay if you would go to an US Italian restaurant. Prices are a bit to high for my opinion.nThe neighborhood is sketchy. We didn’t feel like walking around the Square/stores/food tents (but I still want to).nThree people, 3 appetizers, 3 fajitas, 3 desserts, 1 beer, soda, lemonade $145 with 20% gratuity.
So glad our concierge recommended this amazing place. Worth the trip Downtown! The Mayan inspired food was amazing and the garden courtyard was perfect for our dinner.
Had lunch at this beautiful restaurant today. We tried the grouper, soft shell crab and some sangria and other drinks and passion fruit mousse. Everything was really delectable. The presentation was lovely, the service was 5 stars and I love the music and the ambiance of the atmosphere.
The best restaurant in Cancun. Beautiful garden stunningly decorated feels like you have stepped into Paradise. Itu2019s romantic, exotic and just comfortable. The staff is professional and as nice as can be. The manager goes out of his way to ensure everything is perfect. I love this restaurant definitely my favorite. The food by the way is gourmet and you must try the Cocobichuela. Lobster served in a coconut... exquisite. And the drinks!!!.so many exotic cocktails made with tropical fruits.
This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Cancun. Everything is perfect. The service is excellent, every dish was amazing, great outdoor ambiance with a true Mexican flair. I highly recommend this place, believe me you will not be disappointed and you will return often.

You get unlimited water and bread from the house. They really look after you. The restaurant is really beautiful, especially the garden. It's really romantic.nnFood is amazing, especially if you like fish. Dessert was also really authentic and creative. Big compliments for the chef.
