Palmera Beach Hotel Chersonisos

Really nice holidays and we enjoyed the jacuzzi we had in our room! Service and food was in an extra level. Dimitra needs huge raise she is amazing and the reason people coming back. If you come in the hotel come meet her! Dimitris from restaurant also really friendly and quite funny. We recommend.

The transfer doesn't drop you off at the hotel, we don't mind as we are fit and able but it would have been nice to be told prior to booking and I don't think its good for people who are travelling solo or have some mobility issues.nWe arrived 12.30 am and were woken at 5am with a noise coming from the extractor fan. Then at 7am work started opposite our room, we were told work was being carried out away from guests. The receptionist wasn't very helpful and said we would need to go back at a later time after everyone else had checked in for the day. They eventually moved us to a different room. In both rooms, the plugs were hanging off the walls, the shower looked as though it would fall from the ceiling at any minute. My bathtub is bigger than the swimming pool and it was incredibly dirty. The garden area is overlooked by people's homes and is surrounded by rubbish. The beach looked amazing in the photos but had building materials on and you had to pay for the privilege to use a sun lounger. You can hear everything happening in neighbouring rooms. We returned to our room one day to find building work being done on the roof. I went to reception to ask how long they would be there for to be told there wasn't any work being done - I might have been tired from the poor sleep I was having but I wasn't hallucinating! Then a phonecall was made and they packed up and left. I have no issue with work being done but if we had been advised, we could have gone out for the day. The food was amazing, the waiting staff were fantastic. However, on our last full day, they had a massive booking come in and it got so bad, we were happy to leave. People were getting 5 or 6 plates of food for 2 people and barely touching it. They were pushing and shoving trying to get to the food, when we went down there was hardly any food, the kitchen staff couldn't keep up with it. The hotel wasn't even at full capacity and they didn't have enough tables. I hate to think what it would have been like at full capacity. When speaking with other guests, some had been told to go to dinner early and to breakfast later as the big group were on trips, we weren't told this until after which wasn't very helpful. All in all, waiting staff and food were great but nothing else was good. Reception staff were rude and very unhelpful. Will not be returning.

We really can't say enough about Palmera. We were in the jacuzzi suite for our wedding anniversary and it was just perfect. The building was clean, new, and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The balcony and jacuzzi were perfect, we didn't want to leave the room it was so good. If we return to Crete, we WILL DEFINITELY be returning to Palmera. Two nights were not enough!

Absolutely lovely stay. Staff were amazing! Dimitra and the main manager in particular were very helpful in making our trip comfortable, funny and relaxing. We had a room right next to the sea which was lovely. Balcony was a beautiful touch for mornings too. Really great service at breakfast too, staff are really friendly overall and can help with almost anything. They had good links for getting our taxis booked on nights out too!

Had a great time here! Friendly customer service and just overall lovely environment. They made my birthday feel sooo special. Great modern rooms and customer service. My friend needed medical help and the receptionist sent us to the best medical centre. Very helpful and loving. Food is great but it stays the same. Great location, close to everything. The sea is right outside so you can hear the waves. Rooms cleaned and towels etc changed regularly. Such a bright and lovely hotel to stay at. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at!nLocation is just great, next to all shops and bars and the seaside.nRooms are really clean and spacious, there is a small kettle and some coffee and tea.nGym is in the upper floor with view to the sea and has all the equipment needed.nSeparate parking lot is available for hotel guests and it’s huge advantage as there are no public parking spaces available.nHotel is family owned and you feel it from the first minute you arrive.nI am gluten and lactose intolerant and I did not expect to have a lot to eat. But all staff was so helpful and always brought some extra food I could eat and notify my about allengens. I felt sincerely cared for!nDimitra is real customer relationship goddess! Ask her anything and she will help you! And will do that with willingness and bright smile!nI would definitely come back to this hotel!

I must say the hotel looked good in pictures but it looks even better in person, the room had a small gift of fruit and wine, super clean as they clean it sometimes even twice a day, I even got small chocolates a few times after the room was cleaned.nBut the best part is the service. The people who work here are all warm and welcoming no matter where, be it the restaurant, the bar, reception or just in general.nI had a great holiday and experience here and have the urge to come back with friends!nThe only downside is the pool is a bit small but there are rooms with pools and jacuzzi so I do recommend those.nIt's also adults only which was really nice.nThere's a spa in the hotel, it's also nice but a bit pricey.

You don’t feel appreciated when you visit the Palmera Beach Resort, the lack of happiness at the Reception feels like you shouldn't be there. The TV in our Deluxe Room didn‘t work. But I really need to say the Bartender was amazing, great drinks and lovely guy.. amazing for drinks but I would‘t recommend the Hotel to anyone

Good food, although my meat was a bit overcooker and therefore dry. We only came here to eat. We tried the house wine, which was really cheap and easy to drink. Furthermore, the beer was good and if you have 2 meat lovers among you, you should try the Mixed grill, which is an excellent choice, but too much for one person.

Great hotel!nnEverything was great. The crew was awsome, and really did an amazing job.nSara and Sophia did a great job behind the bar, they where always friendly. (Very good very nice). Also Ali and Nikos did a amazing job in the restaurant. The food was really good. Thank all of the crew for this amazing time! (They all did great!) Hope to see you next time! (Room 524).

This was the best hotel we had so far, everyday different food. The food was amazing very tasty. The chef was very kind the other staff also very good people. We recommend everyone to visit this hotel at least once.

What an amazing place. We stayed in June and the weather was amazing. We had a room with a fantastic sea view, a bit loud outside because it is a busy street. It didn't bother us. The room was spectacular and we had a big bathroom. We had breakfast and dinner everyday. The team does an amazing job.

Can't really say good enough things about this hotel! Best asset is by far the staff, must be the friendliest I have come across in a number of countries. Made us feel like absolute royalty! Location is the best, in the middle of town and opposite the beach. Rooms are superb, that sea view for the price is worth dying for. Fully renovated, make sure you use the brand new gym. Buffet is also great, awesome variety vs class. One of the best trips ever, albeit short. Even a small payment problem i had with our travel provider they sorted in a matter of days! Great hotel! Very kind staff who try their best to make your stay as comfortabele and as pleasant as possible. The hotel is not very big but offers good food and drinks.nnThe only downside so far is that there is a lot of construction nearby and multiple restaurants/bars are closed. (Most likely to prepare for the high summer season) The view from room balcony was not that great. (See picture) However, we did not book for a sea side room.nnNethertheless, there are a lot of activities to do nearby and the nearest bus stop is a street away.nDefinitely recommand! (Perhaps even better during the start of the high season in May)

Nice place with great staff. View is amazing and I enjoyed the sound from the sea a lot.nFood was good and the cappuccino from the bar definitely recommend!nAnd it is allowed to smoke inside the bar. The smell goes around to other rooms.

Everything about this hotel was fantastic the rooms, the food, the service, the staff especially the lovely ladies on reception nothing was to much the hotel was in a great position overlooking the sea we had a sea view room which was amazing I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone we will certainly be staying there again when we get chance definitely a 5 star rating from me.

The hotel was great and the views were amazing.nnThe staff were very friendly and flexible and the food was amazing.nHats off to the chef, he is amazing cook and his food was amazing and the portions were huge.nnCar rental is around the corner and island views were amazing.nThanks again to the amazing staff, who made us feel very welcomed and we got the true hospitality of Greece.

The staff are unbelievably welcoming helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are immaculate, stylish albeit basic. The breakfast is great and although it's right on the seashore and the main beachfront, there was no noise other than the Ocean. This place is highly recommended.

I went to the spa with my girls friends, we were a lot but my experience was really great. The two woman that welcome us were amazing.nI had Eleni (u2764ufe0f) and she was so nice and make me feel comfortable. She was listening to me, really smiling.nI recommend you to go there, you will not regret it, you donu2019t need to book a room at the hotel to go to the spa so thatu2019s interesting.nEnjoy :)

A wonderful place on a good location and highly recommend the spa! Such a relaxing atmosphere and great massage from Sara. Feel like a new person after years of stress are taken away! Clean and comfy jacuzzi after for some extra relaxation and for those interested there is a sauna as well.nnThe rooms are so nice and clean, especially the deluxe with seaside view. Cleaning services come every day and you can notify them if you want it cleaned or not. Staff is soo helpful and kind with attention to detail.nPool is a bit small but there is a big sunroof for people who want some peaceful sunbathing as well.nnWill surely come back again in the coming years!nnGreetings, Erik.
