Teatro Downtown

Thank you to the manager tonight who noticed everything and make sure our date ended good… and even made us new drinks.. thank you Mr. Nowfaa & staff.

Teatro Downtown is one of my top favourite restaurants in Bahrain. It is the place where I like to take visitors from out of the country. The quality of the food is excellent. With absolutely delicious taste, the food presentation is impressive. My absolute favourite is the Wednesday Sushi Night when, if you can, you can have all the sushi that you wish. My Japanese friend was highly impressed by the sushi chef's expertise. However, there needs to be more Japanese dishes for the Sushi Night on the menu. The service is helpful, but unobtrusive. The price of the food and drinks is not exorbitant either. Moreover, there are the special evenings with a food or drinks theme too, allowing customers to enjoy themselves without feeling the pinch. The tall ceilings and the drinks storage display section are impressive. There are several parking levels available , but driving in or out is a regular nightmare because of the very narrow ways. This is the only downside, but one can always use valet parking available at the hotel.

Nice ambiance and staff.nHowever, the food is ok nothing special. Although the restaurant was empty, they took a long time to serve the food.

We went for their unlimited sushi night and it was amazing! We loved everything; the food, the atmosphere, unlimited drinks, the staff! Grace was so sweet.

Good atmosphere but the food not really good

Located at level 4, this restaurant over looks the regency Hotel .nService and hospitality is top notch and mr. Vipin , Grace and another gentleman were extremely polite, helpful and friendly .nWe had gone there for the unlimited sushi night. High quality and well prepared sushi.nnThe restaurant ambience is reasonable.nnThe cocktails were quite well made.nAmple parking with valet service is also available.

Updating Review: Sushi night was fab. Excellent service from Aldy and Francis. Really good cocktails, and unlimited refills. Chocolate fondant (a la carte) definitely worth returning for. Great service all round.

Very peaceful place to have food with family

The staff, service, food and ambience was outstanding. Had a small celebration for a family member and the staff was very welcoming. They helped with the decor and provided a cake and ensured we had a nice time. The concept of choosing between different cuisines was interesting. Will definitely return.

Tried Teatro’s vegan set menu and it did not disappoint. So glad they reopened and can’t wait for their new menu. Will definitely be back.
