Had a great stay thanks and we'll be back. Air con was good and room was clean and roomy. Staff were friendly. Fantastic location near the gardens and five minute walk to town. Only negative thing in the room was Netflix didn't work on the television and also the television wouldn't allow streaming from phone because it didn't pick up the wifi signal.nnCafe was nice but could improve on these points:nn* The coffees are automatically served in takeaway cups which isn't very environmental.nn* The staff were not trained in how to make coffee properly, however the grind was quite nice so the coffees were passable.nn* Room service menu could be larger and not so pricey. If the meals were cheaper we'd get room service every night. But as town is a five minute walk away they got our money every night instead.nn* There are god awful plastic plants all over the cafe.nnOverall we had a nice stay and will be back.
Such a life saver for me last night. Thank you Pacific Hotel. I book a room at another hotel with a misleading fabrication photo, could not stay the night. When I ring Pacific Hotel at 1030pm, a staff member advise me they still have room that I was looking for and it's not a problem to check in that late. I do have to say the person on the phone doesn't sound like he really wanted to talk to me, has a sigh and short but do give me enough info so I won't sweat on it.nBook online straight away. Arrived and check in with nil issues. Amazing space. Super comfortable bed, I would prefer a firm pillow but that's my personal preferences. Love the bathrobe provided, super soft and comfy.nI am in love with the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided. Smells amazing and makes me feel super comfortable. Turn my night from a very horrible night to an absolute heaven.nCoffee, tea, milk and water bottles provided which is nice.nWould love to have parking available for guest but I was lucky to get the last street parking.
Great hotel for the price. Service is brilliant with everyone lovely and helpful excluding those working in the restaurant area who are quite rude and unhelpful. Rooms are a good size with good AC and amenities such as a mini fridge. Carpet and bathrooms could use a good clean though. Parking is a struggle but not hard if in a small car as there are structural pillars in the way to wind through. Limited parking as well so get in early.
This is a solid hotel. The rooms are generously sized, beds are large and comfortable with high quality sheets, the aircon pushes out cold air like a beast, and despite the somewhat ungenerous approach to toiletries distribution (locked down pump packs), decent quality accommodation. Might have been a 4 stars hotel 20/30 years ago. Not sure if I'd call it that now.
I went to the Pacific Hotel on NYE for a birthday event. First of all the bar at the entrance of the hotel had no vodka. This is pretty weak considering it was NYE and you'd expect for the bar to be fully stocked. Also the bar is a cashless venue.nnOur event's room was on level 10, the event room was nice and the view was nice. Food was delicious, Broccoli salad was my fave.nnThe negatives were the microphone/speakers were distorted could barely make out what was being said. We ended up turning off the mic. We had a drinks package included but I noticed staff were providing low alcoholic beers.nnThe female bartender in the event's room was rude and unprofessional, she cut off the lady who paid for the entire event 2 hours into the birthday. I'm my opinion, the lady was sober as a judge. The manager sorted it all out which we appreciated.nnA little advice, if you do plan an event here. Make sure you know exactly what's provided and ensure all technology is in working order.
I stayed here for 6 nights. The hotel gave me room 407 but it’s really dark in the room in the night. The reception guy told me all their rooms were the same style and showed me 3 rooms next to pool to convince me all rooms in this hotel were the same so I gave up to change the room and requested 2 lamps to make the room brighter.nWhen I turned on the air con in 407, the moldy smell was quite strong and I had to say it is really stinky. It seemed the hotel never cleaned the air con. I can’t sleep all night because I have asthma and can’t put up with this smell. I use the inhale to make me comfort. The worst is I found blood stain on the pillow in the morning. This is disgusting.nThe 407 faced the construction site. The site started to work at 6:45AM. It is really noisy. The hotel shall think about for your customer how can a person stay in a stinky and noisy room for 6 nights and gave me room 407.nnI checked with the reception girl next morning to help me if I can change the room. She told me after 10 mins there is a room 603 available. This room is brighter but still has a smell from the air con but not that strong as 407. It is lucky the smell is gone after the air con running a few hours. If 603 or other rooms are available, why don’t the reception check and change for me last night?nIf you need a brighter room, please don’t stay here. Check with the hotel if the construction site is still there. I don’t think the construction will finish in short time because they are just digging the basement. This is my first and last time to say here. There are many choices in Spring Hill or CBD.
Hotel looks old from the outside, but the rooms look like they have been freshly renovated. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in. There is a lot of outside noise that didn't penetrate the room, which helped when sleeping. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Close to Roma St train Station.
Great location and frienfly staff but the good stops there. Tired looking rooms and they need more sound proofing. Could hear everything that's going on in the lobby and the gym. And it has to be the worst car park known to mankind. Why do you have to put so many poles in the middle and we have to drive through them 🤯
The location was amazing. The buffet breakfast was really nice. A lot of options and the buffet staff were constantly on top of keeping everything fresh and topped up. The staff were really friendly and our room was available early so we had an early check in. The car park is not good but understandable due to the structure of the building.
Amazing staffnPleasant restaurantnClean and comfortable roomnReasonably pricednThanks for all your help it was greatly appreciated.
The room was comfortable and the shower was excellent. Overall I was comfortable there and it was a good walk to places. But our initial experience wasnu2019t great when we first walked in. While friendly enough at the reception, we went upstairs to try our swipe access and it didnu2019t work. So we went downstairs to advise them and we were informed that the battery to the access point on the door was dead. So they asked if they could bring the trainee up to fix it. After waiting a while we went upstairs and waited by the door. Two staff members came upstairs to fix the door but it took about 15-20 minutes. My friend by this time had to leave and all I wanted to do was freshen up before heading to a function I was already late for. They were apologetic but when I asked a question, they were quite short with me which was disappointing considering the situation. What would have been nice is the hotel realising the issue was an inconvenience and placing us in another room. Checking batteries to doors sounds like something that should be routinely undertaken at a hotel. The next two days when walking past reception, the staff at reception never looked up to smile or say good morning/good evening, which I found strange. There were pretty unpleasant smells in the hallway near the lift and the door of our room. I wonu2019t rush back to visit this hotel again unfortunately.

Excellent customer service.nRooms were very clean.nRestaurant food was fantastic ud83dude0bnOnly issue was the parking spaces, not much room for error.
I would not recommend this hotel.nnWe arrived today to find our suite had not been serviced and the previous occupant had left a real mess. Not a good start.nnWe were allocated a different suite only to find the air-conditioning didn't work and the temperature had dropped to 15c. We were provided with an electric heater which had no fan and was next to useless.nnWe then found that the smoke detector was non- functioning with bare contacts exposed.nnWe had to make a total of three trips to reception to have the keys reactivated as they worked the lift but not the door.nnThe towels are thin and of poor quality and the car- park is difficult to access and may not be available as there are not enough spaces for every room.nnAt $698 for two nights, we would have expected accommodation of a high standard. The only good thing I can say is that the poor staff are doing their best and are extremely polite.nnI tried to contact the manager on the email address given by the evening on duty manager only to find it blocked.nnIn reading other poor reviews therenIs often an apology from the owner/manager but clearly he does nothing to rectify the problems.
The rooms are adequate, I rated 2 stars because the mattress was too soft for my preference. When you sit on the side of the bed the mattress almost compresses to nothing, poor inner Springs, but I do like a firmer mattress so might be just me.nLocation and views are great, staff are quite friendly and helpful.nThe place has obviously been around since the 80s I'd say. They have renovated the rooms well but not spent money where really needed. To much interior design not enough practical thinking.nThe door to the balcony was practically frozen in its tracks (please replace the rollers at the bottom - that's all it needs). The door not opening really ruins the experience of the balcony and view.nWhy is there a feature panel behind the TV and a super funky desk chair, Jesus spend the money on more hanging space, there was enough space in the room for more.nThe rooms are comfortable, the renovation is modern, the location is excellent and staff are friendly. I would stay again all in all but my not be my first preference.
Rooms are dimly lit, aircon is not powerful enough. Bathrooms are good though great showers but lack an exhaust fan. Beds are not too comfortable. But apart from that pretty good place. Definitely not a four star hotel though.
Partner and I stayed for 2 nights. I found the room comfortable with a decent view. Bed was really comfortable but no complementary bottled water in the fridge.nWe had hired a car for day one, and despite hotel parking being advertised as complementary, in reality I think most people miss out because of availability. Street parking outside the hotel on Wickham Pde is ticketed until 10pm on weekdays, ranging from $1.50 and hour to $5.50. To avoid paying, my partner and I drove into the city for dinner and nightlife and returned after 10pm.nThe location is great. It's a short, scenic walk directly to Queens Street Mall and the heart of the city.
